Penn or Harvard??

Ok...someone help me decide. I visited Penn, and I really liked their classes and they have my intended major: PPE (Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics). I have not visited Harvard, and will not get a chance to before the May 1 deadline. I know that they do not have the PPE concentration. In fact, I am quite confused on how their concentrations work. Someone help me out.

well...I got into both too but I did not see much of a choice there honestly...Harvard is....Harvard, with a degree from their school, you can go wherever you want on the planet...I am from France and I can tell you, everyone here has heard of harvard, it's not exactly the same for UPenn....so pragmatically speaking, Harvard is the place! but then again, if you really loved UPenn, think their major is perfect for you and enjoyed the atmosphere...I say follow your heart!

I was also accepted to both but I'm choosing Harvard for the same reaason as florette...it's Harvard and it's hard to turn down!! Plus, I was concerned that Upenn was a little bit too large for me, and Boston > Philly

Joanna....Harvard does have a concentration like PPE at Penn...it has Social Studies. Social Studies is supposed to be a fairly tough concentration, but it definitely seems to be what you are looking for. It's pretty much a combination of several of the social sciences and is becoming very popular.

I got into Harvard EA. I live around Philly so I know a lot about both schools. I would definitely suggest Harvard, because Social Studies should fit you interests, Boston is a much nicer town than Philly (even though i love Philly) and Harvard is Harvard. Harvard's location, environment, and campus in my opinion is nicer than Penn's (even though I still like Penn's a lot).

Also, with Harvard's system, you can double concentrate and they are going to introduce minors next year. I'm sure you'll be able to find something that fits you perfectly.

Hands down Harvard is much better.

jli is right. If it's between which city is better...come on, who would you watch? The Sahx/Patriots or the Phillies/Eagles? It's a no-brainer if you love sports lol. (I hate the Sahx and Patriots, but the phillies and eagles suck lol)
