I was just looking at the population of Penn, and it’s huge, alot bigger than any of the other ivies. It’s double the size of Dartmouth. For people who attend Penn, or any other students, is this a plus or minus in your opinion of Penn? I mean I realize that Penn has way less students than a State University but it seems large for an ivy.

cornell is about 3000 freshman.

I wouldn't want it any bigger or smaller. with 9000 undergrads you have a huge population of people from which to find people you like, and more importantly, it's never going to be any hierarchical sort of social popularity system. When you meet new people, odds are the only impression they will have of you is the one you make for yourself.

I'd hate to run into the same people over and over and over again at parties and such...
