So I applied via snail mail because my internet was constantly crapping out on me and I didn't want to leave anything to chance, but I have yet to receive anything regarding my Penn Portal ID yet. :/ I was wondering whether I should fire an email to the office to ask about it, or if any of you sent yours by mail and whether there's been any response yet.

The last thing I want would be to hear that they didn't get my application somehow, so I'm getting somewhat worried and wondering whether I should be receiving it by email or something.

EDIT: Just FYI, my teacher told me he sent it out ~28 or 27 Oct, if it makes a difference.

I would. Penn has said that if a student doesn’t receive a portal by the 24th of November or sometime around there, they should contact the office. I think the 19th is close enough. :)

Good luck! I’m sure it’s not a big deal. Penn’s only received about half of my mailed materials so that’s probably your hold up.

I just sent an email asking them about it, hopefully they will tell me they’ve received or else I’ll be really worried! Fingers crossed. (: Thanks!

The reply is that my name is in the system but they do not have my materials… I have no idea why. Lost mail? I’m asked to fax over my app asap but the problem is what about my teacher recs etc.?
My teachers have gone overseas so essentially I can fax them everything except my teachers rec. :/

Specifically, the email says:

Dear __________,

Please fax us your application to 215-573-2792. Your name is in the system, but I cannot find the appropriate documents. Please send your application as soon as possible.

EDIT: It seems like some of the applicants received an email about missing materials too…
