Hey guys, I don’t think they’ve necessarily made all of the ED decisions yet. When they say they’ve closed the Early Decision cycle, I think they mean that they’re no longer collecting forms/data from ED applicants, and that’s why they’ve closed down the application status portion of the applicant portal for ED applicants.

For you ED folks, all that remains to be posted on the admissions web site are the desicions! Good luck, guys! :)

Not that it’s important, but searching old posts, it looks like last year, Regular Decision, the Portal posted several variations of the same message, listed below. This year for ED it sounds like everyone is seeing the same message. Good luck all!

Tracking of documents for Regular Decision applicants has been completed. The Office of Admissions will contact you directly if any further documents are required.

The Undergraduate Admissions Office has closed the Regular Decision cycle, therefore you are no longer able to track the status of your application materials. Had a necessary document been missing from your application we would have contacted you.

In preparation for the April 1 release of admissions decisions to Regular Decision applicants, RDP applicants are no longer able to track the status of their application materials. Had a necessary document been missing from your application we would have contacted you.

Check the Penn site. Between Regional Directors, Assistant Directors, Counselors, Assistant Deans and Deans, there are almost 30 people that can be a part of the review process. Certainly all won’t be doing initial reviews, but no suprise if as many as 20 of them did so.

Also remember that the Penn ED process can be two-steps for many of the candidates. Any doing M&T, Huntsman, Vagelos, Nursing & Healthcare or Computer and Cognitive can elect to be considered for those ED and then opt out of review if they want to be placed into the ED pool for their single program school. So, all of those folks need to be scrutinized, selected, rejected or deferred before any of the rest of us EDs are even looked at. One would think that process should have been completed before Thanksgiving. Were any of you who just gave interviews applying for one of the Interdisciplinary programs? Was anybody who applied to an interdisciplinary program not interviewed?

I don’t think that would’ve been the case since November SAT scores weren’t even out until Thanksgiving.

However, I think the decisions for the interdisciplinary programs would’ve been made about a week ago, and those for the single choice programs would would have been made this past week and might carry on until the next 2-3 days.

I also applied to Upenn early decision but on my common app it says that my supplement has not been downloaded. Does that mean i am basically already rejected?

im 99.9% sure penn has our supplements even though the common app doesn’t say downloaded. how else could they know our desired schools? (see your mypenn, it should say the school/any program you are applying to)
