penn pre med

I’m not premed, but I am majoring in biochem, so I end up in all the same classes with them. My sense is that any good school should equally prepare you for the MCAT, which tests a great deal of biology, some chemistry and a very cursory overview of physics. Penn has a separate, pre-med only physics course for this purpose. Orgo and orgo lab are the hardest courses the premeds take: they are a lot of work but are entirely manageable. If you get a bit ahead of the pack, some students take courses in the medical school during their senior year.

There are a ton of premeds here, so you certainly won’t be alone.
