Penn Preview Days

One of my friends said that Penn Preview Days will be mostly RD students touring the campus in order to decide whether or not to go there and that all the tours etc. will just be selling the school to the RD accepted applicants. As an ED accepted applicant, I really don't need to be sold to anymore, so will I find the tours and info sessions boring/annoying? Or will it be worth it to go?

I think a lot of people go just to meet future classmates. And maybe even find potential roommates? Also, according to another thread someone stated “the amount of people you get to know during orientation week and its impact on the rest of your whole college experience” was severely underrated. Of course, I’m not sure how relevant that statement is to Penn, and how much that student exaggerated, but it’s something to consider.

You should go to penn previews days because you’ll get a feel for the campus—stumbling around the first few days because I had no idea where the buildings were wasn’t great. Also, most of the time, you’ll be talking to other people and yes, trying to find a roommate or decide housing.

Also, as for the statement the people you meet during orientation will impact the rest of your college career-yes…but likely just freshman year. The people on your hall will make much more of a difference…
