Penn Preview Days

I'm surprised there isn't yet a thread about this. so who is going? what was it like previous years?

Hi arc1431!

I went to Penn Preview last year and I’m going to be giving college house tours this year. It really does help you learn a lot more about Penn. You get to listen to a student panel answer questions, listen to speeches from Dean Furda, talk to current and prospective students, and visit the college houses. In addition, you get a decent amount of free stuff (we got bags and these really cool filtered water bottles that were invented by Penn engineers, 20% off coupons to the Penn bookstore). Overall, it was a really great experience and convinced me that Penn was the right college for me:)

I really want to come down to Philly for the Preview Days but due to family issues, I can’t get driven down. Do you know if Penn could cover the cost of transportation to and from Canada? it seems like a long stretch but I really want to check out Penn before I matriculate.

Penn Preview Days is a great way to get to know Penn! As a member of the Kite & Key Society, I’ll be spending plenty of time showing prospective students, like you, around.

My only caveat to you is this: The Quad, which tends to be the most popular housing option for freshmen at Penn, will be closed to visitors on 4/13, due to Penn’s Spring Fling. Keep this in mind if you do intend to visit the Quad.

I’m taking the day off on Friday, April 13th and heading down to visit Penn. And by down, I mean Penn is ten minutes from me so it isn’t a problem. I’m going regardless, I’ve already been to the actual campus once or twice and I’ve been to the Palestra a few times for basketball games. I’m in CAS as a PPE major this fall. Good lucK!!

i’m going on the 12th!! i’m so excited we get free stuff. i hope this helps me make my decision, right now i’m between Penn and Georgetown and i don’t know which to pick!!
