@swimmerman Did likely letters really come out? I haven’t heard anything about them. Anyone else?

Likely letter release was posted in the Daily Pennsylvanian twitter feed. I would think Penn hopefuls would be subscribed on twitter.

^if you expect a likely letter, you’re likely to be disappointed (hehe punny), but seriously, don’t expect a likely letter. The large large large majority of applicants will not get one

I got a likely letter! This is so surreal I didn’t even expect to get in, let alone through a likely letter…

@DL43516 I received the physical mail today, but I live on the other side of the country, so that might have affected the time I got it. I didn’t check the application portal either until I got the mail, but the site did say that my application status was updated on Thurs.
@superangie Since you also got into Yale (Yes, I did some snooping haha), there’s no doubt that you deserved that letter. Congrats! Will you share where else you applied to?

I just got an email about an interview for tomorrow via a phone call. Is it weird that she wants to do a phone call? Especially because my friend who applied ED interviewed in person with a local alumnus.
^no, it’s pretty much random. For my school, RD, about 15 kids applied, about 10 had a person, 5 had a phone call. Don’t worry about it.
@fdizzle Haha thanks! Yale was a huge shock too. I applied to most of the Ivies, Stanford, and a few state schools.
@superangie What was the reason for the likely letter? Are you an athlete or anything like that? Or do they also send out likely letters to top applicants?
They do send out likely letters to top applicants.
Where on the student portal would an online message show up?
