Biotechnology.

congratulations elec! I hope I get mine soon. Did anyone here apply for financial aid?

@demented wombat
yeah I know what you mean! I only tok the psat at he time of my applications and since then have taken a SAT and a ACT and did much better than on the PSAT.

Well, I finally decided to apply and mailed in my application and financial aid today. Let’s hope for the best! :D

@BlackRose21: I applied for FA and received $4972.

o wow orcketblue you just applied. What program did you apply for?

@johncooner
Oh that’s pretty good! I was afraid that they wouldn’t give that much. So what you have to pay around $1000 or $2000 to pay for the whole tuition. Also when did you apply?

I really want to know if I got in or not with the financial aid.

Anyone from Florida receive their’s yet?

Wow johnconnor you received quite a bit of money! I’m jealous
And I decided to apply to nanotechnology and put biotech as my second choice. I really do hope I get in…

Also, they don’t email you telling you if you got admitted or not do they? Or do they just send it by snail mail?

I was accepted for the robotics program. Anyone else in that?
Also I’m in 10th grade, AP Chemistry, Algebra 2/Trig, and I haven’t taken and PSAT or SATs or ACTs yet but still got in just based on school grades and a great recommendation from my chemistry teacher.
I’m from NY

o that’s pretty good stats.

O by the way I was rereading my last message,and I just relieved that it kind of sounds kind of like a snappy remark if you don’t read it carefully. So if anyone feels this way then sry, I didn’t mean for it to come out that way.

Man the nan and bio programs are very popular!

@BlackRose21: Yeah, I still have to pay a few hundred bucks (airplane tickets to and back because there’s no direct route to Penn, + other expenses). I applied about 2 weeks before the original deadline (March 26?).

If anyone is curious, I can post the stats that I sent to SAAST.

@rocketblues: They don’t e-mail you, unless you ask them to (this is what I did). If you’re an international student, your acceptance letter gets sent via e-mail and snail mail.

^ Wow, snail mail is a little inconvenient… How exactly did you “ask” them to send your decision by email?

And I’m sure I have good stats, just the problem is is that I applied too late… Well, I hope I get in anyways :)

I got into Computer Science. Anyone else?

Basically, I just phoned them and asked when the results were coming out, and they said that I could get my results early.

@johnconner
yeah I relieved that too about plane tickets. What airlines are going through?

johnconnor: so this was after like, 3 weeks of turning in the application right?

Yeah, I think it was around 3 weeks or so.

Just got accepted to the Biomedical Research program.

I got into nanotech

yay!

Got into Comp. Sci. :)

Question for those who got in/sent in their apps. Did you follow the 400 max words rule for the essay? I’m having trouble fitting in everything I want to say without exceeding it. I know it’s kind of late to be sending in an application…I hope it’s not too late.
