Penn SAT

What’s the lowest SAT score you’ve ever heard of anyone getting accepted into Penn?

I know someone who got accepted by Wharton with a 1900 score.

that's what ppl call an outlier... something that does not fall in the overall trend... it is very rare taht someone with an 1900 will get into Wharton, this person may have had excellent credentials that made up for the 1900 SATs or the person's parent(s) could be a professor, very generous alumni, etc... businessweek reports a mean of 1448 (V+M), I don't know if this helps...

On the old test, 1270 but I'm sure there's been lower.

Penn median is around 2100 (1400 old style) . Since the highest is 2400, to be symmetrical the lowest would be somewhere around 1800 (600 each.) There are probably some athletes and maybe a few URMs that are a bit lower but there comes a point where the person is unlikely to be able to do the coursework. I was talking to someone last night who was recruited for baseball at Harvard that Harvard would not even have looked at if he was not an athlete - don't know his exact scores but I'm sure they were not typ. Harvard. Same thing goes on at Penn.
