I want to know if these stats would make me competitive, generic, or just a straight out reject if I applied early decision to SEAS at Penn. I do have extra curricular activities and all that fancy stuff, but I just want to know my standing based on test scores and grades.

SAT I: 2220
Math: 750
Critical Reading: 730
Writing: 740

SAT II's:
Physics: 800
Math II: 780
Chemistry: 780

AP:
Physics B: 5
Physics C Mechanics: 5
Physics C E&M: 5
Calc BC: 5 (AB subscore: 5)
Chemistry: 5

Weighted GPA: 4.267
Unweighted GPA: 3.857

We both know the answer to this: you’re competitive. Why do you even bother to boost your ego with a thread like this?

That honestly wasn’t the intent of this post. I didn’t even think it was possible to have an ego boost on collegeconfidential, especially in the Ivy League section. I am just trying to figure out where I can optimize my ED, so I would really appreciate any other feedback.

Your scores are fine for Penn. I think if your EC’s and essays are good, you have a decent shot. Do you have any hooks?

if u mean if im an URM, low income family, coming out of the ghetto, etc. then no i dont have any hooks…The only thing I could say which I don’t think is even a hook is that I am from two races (mom is white and dad is indian). Otherwise, im just a senior who lives in an average household in the suburbs. PM me so i can send u my EC’s and maybe you can give me some more insight?

Or Maybe you can just get off CC and stop trying to seek approval from what you already know to be excellent scores.

I don’t know what it is with all the hate. My scores are good, but they aren’t great. I thought I would just be an ordinary Penn applicant since my SAT falls in the middle 50%, which means there isn’t anything special about my scores. I really see no reason for why you guys are reacting to the thread like this.

besides, does “theworriedguy” sound like a confident username to you? calm down please.

Yes, you already know your scores fall within the middle 50%, yet you ask if you are “competitive, generic or “straight-out” reject”. You already know you’re an “ordinary” Penn applicant, so why bother asking a question you already know the answer to.

that’s true, but we can all hopefully agree that wharton’s stats are probably much higher than SEAS’s. If you actually read my original post, then you would know that I am asking how i stand as a SEAS applicant. I can’t find anything online that would help me answer that question, so I am on cc. calm down man, i’ve never seen someone so butthurt from a question.
