Penn Shield?

<p>Just noticed that the shield listed on this forum is the athletic only shield as opposed to the actual university shield which features the dolphin from Ben Franklin's coat of arms. any reason for this?</p>

<p>If you look around at the other forums, you’ll find that a lot of the logos are wrong. The Johns Hopkins one, for instance, says “Johns Hopkins Medicine: Continuing Medical Education.” All I know is that the logos used seem to be the same ones CC had on their college search option when they launched the test version a while back, so I wouldn’t expect them to change anything anytime soon.</p>

I meant for every board–should’ve been more clear. They only changed it for Penn because of 45 Percenter’s request.</p>

<p>^ For logos that mention “Penn” or “University of Pennsylvania,” the one currently in use above is the one preferred by Penn (see the page to which I linked in post #2). In terms of the shield, alone, the one to which you linked is the correct one.</p>

<p>But for College Confidential’s purposes, I think that the one they’re currently using (from the page to which I linked) is appropriate, since it gets kids used to calling the school “Penn,” and not “UPenn.” It’s also what they’ll see all over the Penn web site and Penn publications, and on Penn t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc.</p>

<p>Computer cache, web refresh rate, regional location, and a bunch of technical reasons ;)</p>
