Penn State: a party school?!

No like I’m going to be stressed one day and then I’m going to be like, “Hey, I you work to hard with no fun, so go out and enjoy yourself.” I’m gonna go to a party and then they’re going to drug me with their spiked punch and fourlocos or whatever they’re called and I’m going to wake up in the hospital or worse, I’m going to enjoy it and become an alcoholic and not be able to finish college.

Penn State is, without a freaking doubt, the party school of the century…but so is EVERY college/university out there. Seriously, don’t get discouraged from this stigma. I know because I came to Penn State thinking, “Oh, man…it’s a party school…oh, crap,” but I’m quite surprised how EASY it is to avoid it. It also really depends on who you surround yourself with. I have my fair share of friends who party often, but they respect me for not going to parties as often as they do. I only go maybe two-three times per semester because I know I want to get a high gpa and I have other priorities over partying. There are so many things you can do other than partying at this school. The HUB always has something going on whether it is a performance, talk-show, etc. You also have concerts going on at the BJC - I think Lady Ant performed tonight. I know tons, tons, and tons of people who don’t party and focus more on school or whatever it is.

wow = difficult and unpopular decision that took a lot of courage for the fraternities. I am impressed.
