Thanks! She is excited!

My daughter just got done auditioning. I just wanted to let everyone know that she thought the students there along with the staff were very nice and friendly. She felt good about the audition. They started out with the dancing, then they went to the monologues and songs. After that, they ask you to stay for an interview and then they take you somewhere else to do some ear training and ask a few theory questions. So, there is a lot involved but she said it was a very pleasant experience. Good luck to everyone auditioning.

Also, they said that today was the first day of MT auditions so that made her a little nervous too. They have so many more to see and she was number 2 in the audition line this morning. Time shall tell!

hey, nov 4th was the first day of MT auditions! lol, I auditioned that day

Sorry, My mistake. I thought that is what was said. Well, Good luck Brazilianmidget!

If anyone will be attending the NY Unifieds for PSU, I'll be working the audition...so you'll be coming to me to sign in, etc. :o) Can't wait!

Hi psucat,

My d is auditioning PSU on Sunday 10:30a. She loves the school and the program. Do you know are they dancing first? If so she'll come in her dance clothes.

psucat -- i'll be auditioning at unifieds, in the 3:30-5:00 slot! how will i know which one is you?

LocoMom--I am not sure if they're dancing first or not. This is my first time working at the Unifieds. At PSU, they dance first. I'll ask Cary when I see him tomorrow and get back to you!

Sporti--I'll be the only student working at the audition, and I'll be signing you in. I'm the skinny brown haired one ;o)

Hi psucat,

Any word on dance first? I know she likes to warm up in dance clothes a little if it's first.

Thanks,
Joan

Hey Joan, I am actually meeting with Cary in 30 minutes! I will ask him then, as we go over all of the info for Unifieds. I haven't been able to see him until today. Thanks for the reminder, though! I'll get back to you later today.

Thanks alot. You getting to see any plays while you're in the city? We are looking foward to meeting you Sunday morn.

Joan,
I spoke with Cary this morning and the kids will be dancing first, then singing.

I am actually getting my headshots tomorrow morning (leaving in just a few minutes!) and then going home for the night in NJ. I don't think I will be seeing anything this weekend, unfortunately, but I was just spoiled last weekend with the BFA NY Trip ;o)

Can't wait to meet you Sunday! Please make sure you introduce yourself and your d!
Case

So nice meeting you yesterday. My d loved talking to you. I know she would love the program. Well now only time will tell. She felt her audition went well. The only thing she felt bad about is you won't be there next year. Best of luck, have fun at your audition.
Joan
You coming to L.A. next week?

PSUcat,

I also wanted to chime in to say what a sweetheart PSUcat is! She helped my daughter get a walk-in audition and my daughter was so impressed with everything she saw while at the audition! Thank you for all of your help!

psucat - you have a fan club! You're adorable and bright and a great ambassador for your school! Thanks for all the info yesterday, and I'm going to pm you for more insight into Penn State's philosophy on belting technique. My D auditioned early in her group, so she didn't have a chance to speak to you at length, but felt very welcome at her audition.

psucat.......Will there be any students in SF this weekend? Maybe You???

:)

Did any of you get a callback after your audition?

I didn't, and none of the kids that went before me did. (I think I was 5th or 6th)

I hope I didn't scare anyone with my last question! Kaysmom now assures me that they didn't plan to do any kind of callback. Whew!

Hey there,
I'm a life long member of your " fan club " as well! You are a wonderful ambassador for the school.
