My Penn State-University Park application status reads “Your application is currently under review. We have received everything required to complete your application. Once a decision is made, it will be posted here.”
I submitted my application on October 28, about one month before the priority deadline. How long does it take for them to make a decision after posting the above application status?
It can be today all the way until Jan.31st. My daughter applied in Sept and is still waiting. The last date they have to let priority application applicants know is the Jan.31st. date.
My son’s application status currently says “Your application materials are being verified”. He sent in his application a few days before the priority deadline. This has been the status of the application for over a week now.
@saules Application verification means that they are making sure that everything is correct and that he qualifies to apply (right number of classes for major applied for etc). After that it will go into review. If everything was in prior to Nov 30 then you will get a decision by Jan 31st.
There is no rhyme or reason to the wait time. My D waited 5 months last year.

I’m stuck in the same state! Been being “verified” since I called since my transcript wasn’t checked off on the page. submitted all materials before Nov. 20th… Wonder how long this will take.
My daughter’s transcript was sent to Penn State on November 20th but they didn’t update it as received until late last week. She is still in the verifying stage. Her ED comes out this week and if they say yes I believe the rule is that she will have to withdraw her application from Penn State before she knows the decision.
@saules Just curious…what school is she waiting for an ED from?
