Penn State Architecture Acceptance

Has anyone heard back from Penn State’s Stuckeman School of Arts and Architecture? I applied 10/7 with an architecture major and have not heard back yet… I’m getting nervous!!! If you have been accepted please comment below with the date you applied and your statistics

My daughter has not heard back either for Architecture. She is also nervous…

Was acceptable a little over a week ago. Upper 1300 SAT; 3.9UW; AP classes, sports, clubs stuff. Applied early October. Good luck.

Applied priority decision on 11/30. 1230 SAT, 3.7 W, 1 AP, 3 Dual Credit, Captain of Varsity Swim, 5 Other E.C. including raising $25,000 for a non-profit alone. Out of State, from Hawai’i. I am getting nervous reading these forums. There are so many near-perfect records.

Applied EA: 10/31
Accepted: 11/21
SAT: 1420
AP’s, National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Athletics Captain
Female
New York
Waiting for Schreyer Honors College decision.

Hi Sxofus - were you accepted into school of architecture? Thanks for clarifying.

She did. She commented on another thread that she got accepted for architecture.

Going to be a tough decision:
Penn State
Ohio State
Notre Dame

Has anyone else heard back yet (accepted or denied)??? The decisions come out Dec. 24th and I’m extremely nervous I haven’t heard anything yet. Penn state is my top school… I have a feeling if my decision comes out exactly on the deadline it’s going to be a defer/denial of admission.

My stats:

GPA: 95/100 (school doesn’t use 4.0 scale)
SAT: 1350
ACT: 30
EC: two part time jobs (lifegaurd, swim instructor), national honor society, national art honor society, national Italian honor society, lots of AP’s, 4-year varsity volleyball player (captain senior year), art club, volunteer counselor at volleyball camp

Sister currently attends PSU, aunt is an alumni

What are my chances of getting in?!

That’s awesome, very happy for you!!

Great news!!! Congratulations!!!

Son accepted ea Architecture in Nov. Curious: why is Penn State your top choice? Unless you r in state, of course, tuition wd be v low. But as out of staters, tuition is comparable to several other top B.arch schools.

Penn State has been my dream school for a while… once you visit your son will fall in love. I did an architecture tour that toured through the studio and I knew it was the place I wanted to be. They Stuckeman Building is relatively modern, freshman students are given their own drafting table, there’s a wood shop, and so much more. Also, it’s a pretty select program (Program aims for 60 students) so class sizes will be small yet I will still have the feel of a large school outside the classroom.

D2 graduated with her BArch in 2015. She was accepted into three other architecture programs (Va Tech, Cinti, Kent State) as well. She was in-state for PSU, which made a significant impact on her decision, but the kicker was her acceptance into Schreyer Honors College as well. The program, as well as the facilities that the Stuckeman building provided were exemplary. (She greatly enjoyed bringing friends into the 24/7 secured building to show them her work.)

The PSU network, before graduation, got her a job as an architect in Washington, DC. She’s now following her life-long dream of working on set productions in Hollywood, CA.
