That ACT score puts you at the 25% mark and Smeal is harder to get into than UP overall. It’s a probably unlikely, but your GPA is pretty good. Normally, you don’t see that GPA together with that ACT score.
What course rigor? What APs ? How many honors? Have you taken Precalculus honors or calculus? Foreign Language level 4? Physics (even if regular)?
I have multiple honors courses, with 3 APS. I have taken 4 years of Spanish. And I’m currently taking Pre-calc, stats, and physics. I have rigorous courses but am pretty much a B+ student with a 25 composite ACT Score.
This is a good profile but I’m not sure it’ll be sufficient to get you into Smeal. It’s definitely a reach. If you’re denied, call immediately and (depending on your preference) ask for DUS/Summer or branch campus (Altoona, Erie, Harrisburg?)
I for sure want to go to university park… do you think it’s too late to email/call admissions and say to consider me for DUS or another major? Also if I don’t get into Smeal will they consider another program or school?
You have to wait. And as soon as you hear, if it’s not what you wished for, call Admissions and ask to be reconsidered for DUS/summer session.
