<p>I have never done this before, so bear with me hear. </p>

<p>GPA: 4.29 on a 5.0 = 3.43 on a 4.0
ACT: 29</p>

<p>I have never taken an AP class but this year I am.
I love the weather. </p>

<p>I participated in a paid summer research internship at the National Centers for Environmental Prediction, I will be presenting my scientific research at the National Weather Association Conference in October. </p>

<p>Went to a weather camp during the summer before my junior year,
I have shadowed TV Meteorologists here in Chicago,
I have taken an active role in my passion in weather, and applied it to my studies. Between Freshman and Sophomore years i was a B average student, after this weather camp i got straight A's Junior year. </p>

<p>LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE:
• Vice President of a group against drugs and alcohol at my school called SFS (2010-2011)
• Glenbard Leadership Council (2009-2010)
• Active Member of Student Council (2008-2010)
• President of TV club (2008-2009)

• Student member of the American Meteorological Society
• Graduate of NCAS High School Weather Camp
• Attended Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Conference

<p>Does any of this matter to them, or am I just numbers? Do you think I have a chance of getting in?</p>

<h1>weather your gpa is a little low for upark since their average is about 3.5 and above, but see what your sat score is because that could balance out your low gpa, but i think you may have a chance.</h1>

<h1>smc same for you, i think you have a decent chance, even though your gpa is on the lower end, you still have a decent chance especially with yur gpa. I got in with a 3.8 gpa and 1780 sat</h1>

okay I just got my acceptance letter yesterday and I am an international student
I tried SAT once and got 1850. I got low B and few As in freshman and sophomore years and raised to nearly ( 95-100% in academic courses) in junior year. I have NO APs at all , nor do I have honors. and GOT IN :slight_smile:
