I am literally going insane. I have around a 3.4 GPA, 31 ACT, and lots of ECs, and applied to Eberly. Is there a reason I haven’t heard anything??

I have the same gpa and lots of ec’s. I am thinking they accepted a lot of people with higher gpa’s first and people with lower gpa’s in the later wave of early action.

aww man. is there any estimate as to when? i think i’ve been checking like at least 10 times a day…

If you applied by the EA deadline then you will hear by Dec 24th. That’s all Penn State tells you.

Is your 3.4 weighted or unweighted? What major did you apply for? Did you select summer as an option? A 3.4 is below the 25th% of accepted applicants. Your ACT is good, but PSU decisions are 2/3 GPA.

@jlhpsu j My GPA is 3.4 calculated by me but my school doesn’t do GPA’s. I go to an “elite” NYC private school with a great reputation that tells schools our regular courses are the equivalent of honors in public school. I applied as a Biology major, and I didn’t select summer as an option.

Congratulations to you! But YES! I’m a parent of a middle qualified student with PSU as his first choice school for Engineering (its in his blood), and these scores now scare me. Will they take a 4.2/1350 student? Who knows now.

I am a patent! Based on my research, My feeling is your kid is in! Will see in February. We applied without SAT/SAT, but not top Choice.
