Has your daughter considered summer start? Also, I’d call and talk to an admissions rep directly and ask why your daughter wasn’t admitted. WIth her stats, based on norms, she should have been.

What major did you apply for?

Summer start really not desired. Summer is definitely the best time to be in our far far north state  She is still working through some medical things too, so I suspect there will be loose ends to tie up there during the summer months. I don’t think she will call…this seems like a sign to look elsewhere

2+2 or berks for 4 years?

I dont’ get it. My daughter got 2+2 criminology here are her stats.

TO
3.958 UW GPA
60 college credits dual enrollment
AA degree
completed high school in 3 years
3 sport athlete, captain, also managed football team
Many leadership roles and in every group our school offers.

I don’t understand how she did not get into UP for 4. That being said, she only has 2 years of college left if her AA degree transfers, so not sure how 2+2 will work.

2+2

Honestly I really regret not doing the optional supplemental essay, and I can’t help but think that if I would have done it I would have got into UP for 4 years. I think it really shows them your interest in the school. Of all my friends that applied and didn’t do they essay didn’t get into UP for 4 years, and the have the stats to get in. PSU wasn’t my top at all so that’s why I didn’t think anything of how important the “optional” essay would be. Learned my lesson the hard way but it just makes me nervous for other harder schools that I applied to. Just a bummer.

Engineering (undecided).

Thank you! Good luck!

What optional essay?

Psu had a required and an optional essay.
I got into UP without doing the optional essay. The optional essay may become important if your stats are not that good.

Does anybody know when the college of science will start rolling out their admissions? I haven’t seen many, if any, people getting their decisions.

My student received their Eberly acceptance about 6 weeks ago
