I think my essays and extracirriculars really boosted me.
DD got her Eberly acceptance last Saturday (12/11). We are from Northern VA.
Has anyone from the midwest received their Eberly decisions? The waiting is killing me!
I’m guessing your WGPA is much higher than your UW. Essays and Extracurriculars are a very small part of the decision-making. It’s usually just a numbers game at Penn State. Congrats!
No, not really… Those 2 APs I’m taking are this year. They aren’t counted towards my GPA.
Two AP’s wont boost wgpa much

If I get a C- in pre-Calc first semester, will PSU rescind my EA admission? (Or, if I drop down to a lower math level second semester)
What is your weighted GPA? I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone get into engineering at PSU with a 3.3, but if you did, count yourself lucky and run with it!
Check with psu admissions. They are in the best position to answer.
This is the psu math req for engineering-
Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry plus one-half unit of Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, or Calculus
Penn State does not ask for mid year grades. All they will want to see is that you graduated. As long as you pass the class at the end, you should be fine.
Agree. However, you are required to get C or better in all subjects in the senior year . A D or F may be cause for denial
I’ve never heard of Penn State revoking an admission unless the student does not graduate. If the math is needed for entry into a specific pre- major (no one is in engineering until their sophomore year in college), you may not be admitted into the college as a pre-major any longer, but you will still be admitted into Penn State, likely in DUS.
All PSU cares about is that you graduated.
Thank you for the info!
So you’re basically saying that “pass” means at least a C, not a D
Anyone receive a decision for Architectural Engineering? We are stalking the admission site but nothing yet.
