Hello Everyone,
I am currently finishing up my Associates Degree in communication at a Community College in San Diego, California. I will be moving to Philadelphia in the summer of 2017 and I am either going to attend Temple University or Penn State University (Abington campus). I am a older student, not interested in partying or anything like that. I have visited both campus and I understand they are both completely different. I really like both and just cant decide which school I should go to. Which school do you think has a better respected degree or higher salary earning post graduation? I’ve been looking online but keep getting mixed answers. Is there any alumni that could possibly give me their input?
Also, I would potentially be moving back to the west coast in a few years.
Thank you
Temple. It’s a full fledged university.
(Abington is a branch campus that allows students to transfer to the 4-year 'Main campus ', a bit like ccc to UC system in CA ).
I graduated Temple 3 months ago, and my girlfriend currently attends Penn State. I think both schools are great picks. Temple,I feel, gives you a great value. I am about 4 weeks into my project manager position, and I meet new alumni almost every week in our company. I did an internship at Upenn hospital and one of the director was a Temple alum and he helped me get my current position. If you like Philadelphia (a great place to live), and plan on starting your career here, I would say go with Temple (Not that you will have any issues finding work with a Pennstate degree) but it seems like Philadelphia is filled with Temple Alums in all positions.
^ OP would be attending Penn State Abington, not university park.
I’m just now seeing this but thank you for you input.
I’m proud to say I will be attending Temple!
