I was accepted to Penn State and Purdue and I am having trouble deciding between them, can anyone tell me about how the engineering programs compare and offer any insight into how difficult the classes are?
Both will be difficult, both would have the same courses, both are great schools but it all depends on you… cost a factor? Major?
@bhc745 they are both great, but if cost isn’t a factor, and you like both campuses, I would go with PSU based on the unbelievable alumni network.
@penmom222 forgot about the alumni network suddenly I feel there are too many in Virginia lol…

WeAre everywhere lol! We are in state, but my S was deciding between PSU and University of Maryland, and the alumni network is a big part of why he chose it. I see it at work all the time… PSU alumni like to hire other PSU. I wish I would have gone there!
@penmom222 I am so happy he is going there at the earth and mineral college… son still not decided?
@airway1 mine committed to PSU in early December, but then UMD offered a lot of merit $ (which surprised me A LOT), so it all of a sudden became a possibility. Anyway, he stuck with his PSU decision, and can’t wait to go.
