I am a student not from Pennsylvania, and I am intrested in Penn State. I am wondering about the Paterno fellowship, and the website was a bit vague, I am wondering does it come with a scholarship? Are there any other academic fellowships at Penn State?

You might have heard or read of the news, that Penn State is undergoing quite a bit of turmoil these days. You had better call them directly for any such information.

Though this is a school in turmoil, for any school, you need to specifically talk to someone there with knowledge of the program and get info specific to things like this, as programs and eligibilities change very quickly from year to year, as do the requirements for them.

It seems to come with a one time scholarship ranging from 1500 - 5000 for an outside enrichment experience. It doesn’t look like there’s any money towards school costs. It’s also a gateway into Schreyers.

It doesn’t look like it would make any dent in the OOS costs for 4 years at PSU.

Since the Paterno family is quite upset at PSU right now, who knows what will happen to this endowed program.

It is highly unlikely that you’d get the money you’d need to make PSU affordable for you as an OOS student since your budget is $15k…and the OOS cost is over $40k per year.
