Penn State Gymnastics

If you weren't recruited, as I'm sure most Penn State Gymnasts are, do they allow walk ons? If so how hard is it to make the team?

Any information on making the team would be appreciated.

It is possible, but not likely. Scott Rosenthal was a walk-on ([Penn State University Official Athletic Site - Men’s Gymnastics](http://www.gopsusports.com/sports/m-gym/mtt/rosenthal_scott00.html)).

“Rosenthal was a rare walk-on to the team when he came out of high school two years ago . . .”

Ok. This definitely clears some up. He was obviously damn good to be a 2 time junior Olympic qualifier. And unless the walk on has an extensive backgroud they probably won’t be getting on the team.

Thanks 1moremom
Are you by any chance familiar with anything intramural and gymnastics related. Cheerleading is not an option.

Not that I know of. Check here–

(I think cheerleading is very competitive.)
