<p>Do you think I'll get housing by summer?</p>

<p>I'm #14 on the housing waitlist for freshman females and the university only has housing for 427 students... and half of that is for freshmen (which I am)</p>

<p>Also why do some students cancel housing or take themselves off of the waitlist?</p>

<p>Possibly they choose another school or campus. Some may not get the financial aid they need to afford it.</p>

<p>You might try calling and ask how many people typically get off the waitlist (into housing) to see if you need to make other arrangements.</p>
