Penn State Letter of Recommendations?

Hello, I’m a senior who’s planning to apply to Penn State!

When I looked at the website, it stated that letters of recommendations are not required and will not be evaluated. Then, I saw some posts from last year saying that they submitted letters of recommendations. Would I have to submit mine too? If so, how should I submit it if I’m applying through their own portal? I couldn’t find the section on the application regarding the submission of letters.

Have you looked on common app.

Right on the website it says - Penn State does not require letters of recommendation, nor are they used in a student’s evaluation (unless required for a specific program).

So no. Don’t.

If a special program requires like Schreyer (don’t know if it does), follow their directions.

But for admission- as they say - no don’t submit.

You only submit a LoR if applying to Schreyer.
