What are my chances of getting into penn state main, I have a 3.46 gpa (2 aps and 6 honors). My SAT is an 1820 (660 math, 600 reading, 560 writing.) For ECs I have 4 years of Cross Country (lettered senior year) and 4 years of track. I have some volunteer hours (not sure how many exactly.) I also wrote my personal statement about taking piano lessons for 8 years. I also applied for summer session and within the first deadline.

Definitely in if you are in state, pretty good chance at out of state. My buddy got in with lower stats than you and he applied without choosing the summer session

3.46 is my weighted gpa by the way

Thanks mrbojangles and do you mind telling me what major he declared and if he was in or out or state

I have nearly identical scores, ect, and i got in as an out of state applicant.

thanks julie and what major did you declare?

Bump bump bump

PSU states acceptances are not based on which state you live in.

any other takers?

i got accepted to psu main this year, i am from pennsylvania, my SAT scores were slightly better (not much) and my ECs were academic not athletic but about the same number of them. you should be fine

Which program at University-Park did you apply to?

penn state absolutely looks at which state you are from, college reps that visit my high school tell us that they take that into account all the time. and tzleb- he declared an engineering major but i dont know which
