I accepted my offer to Penn State last week, and I got an email last night saying that I have been invited to an event at the school in two weeks (which I cannot attend). However, the email says that I have been selected for the “Provost’s Award,” which is a scholarship giving me $4,000 each year at Penn State for undergrad (that’s $16,000 total for the four years). They said that even if I can’t come, they will send me a letter “confirming my selection for the Provost’s Award.” Have I actually gotten the scholarship?

here is some info I found.
If you have questions, call the FA office.
Yes! I got that email too, and I called. Even if you cannot attend, you still will get snail-mail with the award
