I just received an email from Penn State today saying that they received our FAFSA.

We have already received the financial aid package for my son. However, we did send them a note to see if there is anything else that he might qualify for as an OOS since this is beyond what we can pay. Does this mean they are taking another look?

How exactly did you send a note because I am also OOS and I feel that without additional aid I won’t be able to afford psu. I’ve been thinking about sending an email but I’m not sure if this would be effective or not.

Same situation for my son. He can go to UMass for 4 years for less than the cost of 1 year at Penn State. He loves Penn State though so we figured there is no harm in asking!

We had him write a letter and we sent it by fax. My husband followed up a couple days later to make sure they received it. They did but said that no additional aid could be provided. They said that they were responding by letter but it has been a week and we haven’t received anything. That is why I was surprised to get the email saying that they received our FAFSA…
