Penn State reputation?

I am a freshman at PSU and I was very close to not going there. I was afraid that it would not be very good academically. However, I cannot get over the quality of the education that I have received. All of my classes (except for econ) are smaller than my high school classes and for the first time in my life I am really taking an interest in what I am learning. The business school is fantastic and there new state-of-the-art building will be done by next fall. I cannot give the school enough praise. It really is for everyone. It does not feel very big at all because the only people that live in the town are college students and professors. It feels like you are living a small town full of people in their early twenties. Also, it is stupid to compare UW w/ PSU. If I lived in Washington I would be going there. I live in PA and wanted a good business school so I went to PSU. That is the main idea behind a public school-its a good price and good location for its state residence.

It's great that you are enjoying your freshman experience at PSU. I'm impressed to hear about the small class sizes for the introductory courses.

I presume you are at University Park. Do you know how good is PSU's Hotel Management program? How's the facilities there?

I cannot give you specifics on Hotel Management at PSU but I will tell you this....it is a very popular major there and it supposively has one of the best programs in the country for it. I do not have any specifics on the facilities but buildings on campus are always being renovated or rebuilt so I am sure it is top notch.
