This is my first time posting so not 100% sure if this is the right place to ask this. I got accepted to Penn State main campus Smeal School of Business for next fall. I applied with my major being finance. After doing some research on the school I'm finding out that I actually haven't made it into my major or even into Smeal. What I'm seeing is that to have a spot in finance, I need to maintain a 3.5 gpa for my first two years. Is this true? Can anyone provide any insight on what I must do to make it into my major?

Yes, this is true. You must maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA and pass the required courses with a C or higher(if you only get a C it’s gonna be hard to get that 3.5GPA). When your admitted into the college of business, you are put into what they call pre-major. You haven’t declared a major yet. You declare a major during your spring sophmore year.
