Penn State summer session

I got accepted to summer session. I have a couple questions.

How much does summer session cost? Is it at University Park? In my dorm, will I have a roommate? And do I get to move my stuff to my new dorm in the fall without having to take everything home once summer session ends?

https://summersession.psu.edu/first-year-students

That link does not answer any of my specific questions

Did you read it? It has a link to “Summer Tuition” (question 1), the first sentence mentions University Park (question 2, and your acceptance letter should specify that also), and it has a link to “Summer Housing” (question 3).

@DeplorableDeep 1. Approx. $8,000 for instate students. 2. The summer session is at UP, doesn’t your acceptance state that? 3. Yes, you will have a roommate, sometimes more than one. My son had two. 4. Sometimes you can transfer your belongings to the new fall room if it is available. When it is not, Penn State can usually provide temporary storage.

Well I’m out of state, so how much would it cost? And does it include room and board or is that a separate cost?

@deplorabledeep: if you want to attend Penn State and do well, you have to be autonomous and read carefully the links provided, then ask questions referencing what you understand and highlighting what you don’t. Ie.,’ On document x I see ‘…’ but not…, do you know who I should contact to figure out z?’
The way you phrase things makes it, rightly or wrongly, sound like you don’t read the links carefully or don’t understand them, and expect others to process things for you.
You could also call Penn State directly, stating you have a question regarding summer session from OOS.

I agree with MYOS1634. These are simple questions that you should be able to find answers for on your own. Penn State UP is large and difficult to navigate. If you can’t figure out how to look up summer tuition rates, how are you going to manage with classes of 400+ with no hand holding? There is also a nicer way to phrase your questions, or as she stated above, call admissions and ask.

Tough crowd lol

Tough love. Growing up isn’t easy. Self reliance is important or you’ll be eaten, chewed, and spit out at PSU.
