Penn State Transfer

Hello I am currently a Penn State(honors) student looking to transfer to another school. The reasons I am transferring are because I would like to go to a smaller school. I would also like to be in a urban-suburban area, preferably a city. I would like to transfer to a private school. Preferably a top 10 school for economics. Putting it simply all around PSU just isn't my fit. I am very passionate about my major as you will be able to tell through my app. Please give me your thoughts on where I stand and I will also chance you back!

Schools I am applying to:
Upenn(not sure if wharton or CAS this is my number 1 choice however I am not expecting by any means to get in)
Villanova(business school)
NYU(stern)
Georgetown
Cornell(Dyson)(I realize this is not suburban or urban)
Brown
Columbia(have a legacy here)
Swarthmore

Lastly Yale and Harvard but they are just for crapshoots.(everyone can have their dream schools)

Just skimmed over what you’ve put (since I’m short on time but still need my daily CC fill). If you want to waste time and money on the applications for Yale and Harvard then by all means, go ahead, but have you seen the transfer admissions figures for those?

Yes haha, figure why not I know they take 15-30 students but might as well try with no expectations of getting in

I think you have a shot at NYU, Villanova, Gtown and maybe Cornell…as for the rest I think it’s a crap shoot besides Yale and Harvard which you’re not going to get into.

I appreciate your honesty. I know of someone you transferred to Harvard on here from Texas A&M with similar stats to mine. Not saying im even close to getting in but trying wouldn’t hurt.

Also just an FYI penn is the one I want to get into the most, out of the safetys I like Gtown the best
