if you have not attended penn state and compared EVERY single factor, how can you say UNC is in a better league than Penn State, really you are still using college rankings which is still being biased because you have no clue what you are talking about. Only thing you can compare is recruiting, admitting stats, etc, there is not that much hard evidence you can put forward to really prove the UNC is so much better period

I am really looking forward to attending PSU -University Park NEXT year. One of the reasons I chose it above other schools was because It has so many options for an Undecided person like me. The resources available are probably at par with any school in America. At the tour they gave it said something like 1 in every 114 College graduates is a PSU alum. So you've definetly got alot of connections around the whole United States. Plus from what I've heard, the school spirit and stuff is like unrivaled.

Also,,, I should add that in-state Tuition was a major plus for me in choosing PSU. In fact I didn't even apply to any other schools.

Sure I could have tried to get into Lehigh or Case Western. That are both "ranked" higher then PSU. But I know the Experience wouldn't be even close to Penn State.

lets look at the SAT 75 percentile for both schools:
UNC: 1390
Penn Sate: 1290

While the average kids at both schools maybe similar, I do think that UNC's top quarter is significantly stronger than PSU's top quarter. And yes, I do think that a 100 point AVERAGE difference between the 75-percentiles of both schools is significant. Wouldn't you say JHU is considered stronger than UNC? Well JHU's 75 percentile is 100 points higher than UNC at 1490.
