So far these two are the ones I have trouble deciding. I got into Penn State's Eberly College for Pre-med. But from what I heard, it is a very big school so I will have to be more independent and may not get much time to spend with professors. But from what I heard, the premed program over prepares the students so they have no problem with MCAT and getting into medical school. In addition people say they have the largest alumni. What does that even mean?
For Elizabethtown, I got some scholarship so the price is pretty much the same as Penn State (I live in PA). I choose psychology as a major since I enjoy working with people and want to pursue medical field. I checked the ranking and Elizabethtown is ranked number 4 for regional college at North. What does that mean? I still have no clue what regional college means. USNews states this for regional college, "These colleges focus on undergraduate education but grant fewer than half their degrees in liberal arts disciplines. Regional Colleges include the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, John Brown University, Marietta College, and Oklahoma Baptist University." The thing I like about Eliabethtown College is the the student-faculty ratio at 11:1, and the school has 70.5 percent of its classes with fewer than 20 students.
