<p>Hello I’m Alexis From Mexico and I plan to attend to pen state university, university park, the next year. For that I need to ask for a scholar ship in my country, and for that I need the university acceptance. I have all the documents to apply now but to be honest my GRE was not so good (verbal 390) quantitative (630) analytical writing (3) so I plan to take the exam again but also I need the acceptation confirmation by February 25th (2009) so does any body knows how long the acceptation procedures are?
And if any body can give his opinion about taking again the exams or just apply right now. </p>

<p>The longer you wait to submit your application the later you will hear back. Right now you are pushing late December to early January for a response from PSU, and that is only if your GPA/High school record is above avg for Penn State. I would submit the application ASAP.</p>

<p>Cwryan1, my son sent his app out the last week in August and transcripts first week in Sept. With a 4.23 W and 1720 when do you think he will hear ? I heard that the applicants who are in the upper parts of the mid range are hearing from PSU now… do you know what the story is ?</p>

<p>what if you applied mid-late october? i’ve heard some people have applied on/prior to nov. 1st and heard back within 2-3 weeks…</p>

<p>If you applied mid to late September and were avg to above avg for UP then you should hear between now and thanksgiving. If you were boarderline PSU UP or you just applied don’t expect an acceptance till much later. regarding Schreyer Acceptances, they do not start sending those out until February. I dont think they have even started reviewing SHC apps yet.</p>

i’d consider myself borderline for summer session with a 3.5 and a 1760. so i’m guessing it’s useless to keep checking my status online right now haha. it’s probably more practical to check it closer to christmas then?</p>

<p>^^I doubt you’d get in to main with 3.2 gpa and you applied in mid December.</p>

<p>^There is nothing you can do right now. You can always attend a satallite campus and transfer into main after 2 years.</p>
