Penn State University Park CAMPUS

Ive been accepted and am going for a trip to see it. i have it scheduled for february. i was alittle skeptical for going then because penn state is my dream and i dont wanna be dissapointed by the lack of color and 'pop' from no leaves and stuff.

so, anyone who has seen the campus in the winter time, is it just as beautiful as it is in the spring/fall? thanks

It’s definitely not pretty in the winter unless there is some snow and that all depends if you find snow pretty. My daughter was headed for Univ. of Miami and at the last minute decided to go to PSU. She was concerned about the weather but now she says, it’s not a big deal at all and being a part of PSU is worth it!

im not concerned with the weather. in fact i love cold weather and snow. i really meant is the campus really ugly in the winter or does it still have that beautiful campus feel? uh! im nervous now bc i dream about this school and dont wanna be turned off by the winter campus if it is bad

I would not say it’s ugly. There are some beautiful old buildings. Don’t be turned off by the lack of color in the winter…there’s so much more PSU has to offer! If there is some snow when you get there, it will look really pretty. Good Luck and I’m sure you will love it!

We were there in the summer - and it was gorgeous. So I imagine the spring and fall would be spectacular.

There is a reason they call it “Happy Valley”, it is beautiful all year round. I have a D there and she loves it. Not a cold weather person, but finds that not to be an issue.
Good luck on your visit. Hope you like it!!
