What are my chances to get into Penn State/what are my chances to get into the Smeal School of Business?

It’s going to be a reach since your unweighted gpa is far below their middle 50% and Penn State says that Unweighted GPA counts for 2/3 of their admissions decision.

yeah, I know. I did really poorly freshman year (due to being absent for a month from sickness) but I turned it around 10th/11th/12th grade. My grades thereafter reflect the kind of student I am a lot more.

Whoops, hit send too early.
I got my source from Penn states website; [Admission Statistics: Penn State University Undergraduate Admissions](http://admissions.psu.edu/apply/statistics/) .
Your SAT is good enough and ECs sound great but being out state with your gpa is gonna be tough!
But certainly not impossible! Good luck!

An upward trend is always good, that will make penn a low reach/high match!

gotchya, thanks! :)
