Penn state university park DS vs Auburn CS

Just like the thread above I’m deciding between two colleges Penn State- university park and Auburn.
I’m currently an international student living in Alabama and received a merit scholarship of $60,000 to auburn and no financial aid to Penn state. There were mixed opinions among me and my family members of my college decisions so I came to this forum to ask some questions

  1. Is there any big differences between data science and computer science regarding learning materials?
  2. which school has more opportunities like internship and co-ops?
  3. how good is the alumni network in both penn state and Auburn?
  4. is the out of state tuition for penn state worth it?

Check the curriculums. DS is not CS.

My opinion - both are solid schools and the alumni thing is way over blown.

Today the schools will hand you leads but many kids are finding positions on their own. Those who hustle get internships. Nothing is handed to you. If you are international, it may be hard as you’d need sponsorship…,not sure how that works for interns.

No, PSU is not worth it if financials are important to your decision.

But no school is worth it if you are not studying what you want.
