I just got accepted to Penn state behrend for the 2+2 program for the fall semester and I really want to go to university park is there any way for me to appeal my admission to university park it can be for fall or summer semester or can I apply again? I would really like someone to shed some light on this
In a previous post, you said you had a 2.3 GPA. I think you’re lucky to have been offered 2+2 at Behrend. You can ask for reconsideration for UP but it is highly unlikely that you will be accepted to UP for fall or summer.
“I would really like someone to shed some light on this”
I apologize for being harsh, but you were shown the light in your October thread. It seems like you just don’t want to hear the honest answer. Penn State evaluated your application and gave you their best option.
Feel free to appeal their decision, but frankly, you are probably wasting your time.
I applaud your ambition, but you would be better off accepting their decision or just moving on and focusing on another college if you really don’t want to go to Behrend.
Always always try for an appeal.
I had a 3.47 weighted GPA and a 1360 superscore SAT and I originally got the 2 and 2 for fall with brandywine as my starting. I had applied for computer science. However, I asked for reconsideration for another major I was interested in: cybersecurity and a month later I got in for full University Park for the fall term just like I wanted. The worst thing they can do is say no. For sure try, it worked for me!!
Can you share who you appealed to? Is there a link to fill out & submit?
There is no form. You simply call admissions and ask to be reconsidered for another major or starting semester. You must substantially change your application to be reconsidered. That said, since it is April - the chances are not as good as they would have been earlier in the application season.
