Penn State University Park

Hey guys, grew up a PSU fan and recently visiting the main campus at university park and am in love. If students who have already been accepted can give me a little insight on my possible acceptance chances please do so.

High School, 2011 – present
weighted and un-weighted GPA both are 4.0's
taking rigorous AP and Honors courses
planning to go in undecided
SAT's (was told by admissions they do not super score, only scores from a single test date) Math 570 Reading 560 Writing 490 (was also told by admissions that the writing portion is not top priority in consideration, as it is currently flawed thus the SAT being redesigned in the coming years) I also plan to retake my SAT's again but my scores will not be in by my application submission
Plan on taking both the ACT composite and ACT writing and english in December
I don't believe my SAT scores reflect my intellect, as my high school grades reflect good grades in challenging courses

Your GPA and activities are outstanding and will most likely make PSU a match. I share your idea that the SAT does not reflect intelligence, unfortunately that standard is not applied in admission-making decisions. Was that your first time taking the exam? Most students increase their score significantly their second time. Other than that, you definitely have the ECs and GPA to make yourself competitive.
