Hi! i’m a senior in high school, my current gpa is 3.87 but i didn’t do well in the SAT, i scored 1600. nevertheless in high school i have taken 5 AP courses and 6 Honor classes. 4 years of spanish, two years of french. I have a ton of community service hours (about 80-90 hrs). I was my class secretary in 11th grade and secretary of Model United Nations, i was awarded MVP in Varsity volleyball team, and i was part of two other clubs. then in 12th grade i was my class vice president and Model UN vice president as well, secretary of Girl Up, representative of the student council and was part of two other clubs. Over the summer i have done job shadowing in the area i wish to pursue as a career in the future, i have gone to summer programs in Columbia Univ, and i have worked.
what are my chances of being admitted to University Park, Biology Major ?
You’re a senior so your time to take the SAT has all but expired, and the score you have is really on the low end for Penn State. You seem like a great candidate except for that fact.
I like to be optomistic so I’ll give you a 40% chance.
Good luck and we are
PENN STATE!
hope to be admitted!
thanks!
I applied to Penn State University Park Smeal College of Business well before the priority application of November 30, 2014 for Fall 2015. I am a freshman prospective Finance major. On my MyPennState profile, my application status has stated “We are reviewing your credentials. A decision will be available here as soon as one is made.” for quite some time. I have competitive stats for Penn State, so I was wondering if anybody has any idea as to when I can expect to receive an admissions decision?
when your application is being reviwed the status will change to “we are reviewing your credentials you will receive our decision in a few days”
good luck
Is there a rough window as to when decisions are sent out to those who applied before the November 30, 2014 priority application deadline?
If they received all of your materials by Nov. 30 you will hear back by Jan 31. You might want to look at the Penn State threads under “Colleges and Universities”.
