thanx.

i am still iffy on the subject that most ppl who take biz program in their undergrad, don't take MBA for their GRAD?

hmm, can anyone be kind enough to explain?

because even though Engineering +MBA, I have never done well in science... ( i 've never tried but they were never my fav subjects..)

P.S. agreed with World changer, a lot of ppl think PSU is a big party school, even though UIUC has a huge greek system whole bunch of frats and sororities..... = big time party scene

But i guess PSU has this bigger alumni network in the eastcoast?
which attracts me more, ....

Do what feels right for you. Don't choose a major unless it's what you like.

On the other note -
UIUC definitely has a party scene, but I think that the outside world perceives it as more of a serious academic school.

PSU does have a large alumni network, but UIUC has a REALLY great business reputation that would carry well anywhere in the country.

You'd be fine at either school, really.

one more.... urg

most of UIUC students would go to Chicago area, but PSU would have more alumni network in the eastcoast. But BUT there are so many "great" schools in the east coast, like ivys and gtown and other strong biz program schools that do you think wall street or other fortune 500 companies would see PSU as a good investment?

another thing is my application got screwed over in the process, and they said my grades would definitely put me in business school, but because of the incompleteness, they put me in a general college of arts and science which was my second choice.... the dean of admission sent a personal letter explaining why they could not have me in the business school at least this yr.

so idk, because if i go to UIUC, i am gonna have to work my butts off trying to transfer to actual business program..
whereas, i am already into Smeal college of business in PSU/

I agree with world changer. I would give strong consideration to UIUC. THey are well known throughout the country for their Engineering and their Business schools. Lots of campus recruitment for both as well.
Good luck with your decision.

Who said that UIUC students move to Chicago? Some in-state students do, to be close to family. But graduates from UIUC move all over the country. Where ever they want to go.

I really wouldn't worry about the whole east coast thing so much. Both schools have a name throughout the country. And who knows? You may not even end up moving to the east coast. As I've said before - the jobs these days are heavily concentrated in the south and west.

it looks I was once leaning towards to PSU, but i am going for UIUC

thanx a lot guys,

even though I have made myself to decide that I would go to UIUC, if I don't get accepted to other "better" schools, your comments are important and I would appreciate any other advice you would have ^^
