I am going into business and am wondering which school would be better for me, also which school has an overall better college experience, like social, nicer campus, school spirt, academics, ect, ect, ect.

Toss-up. Do you like football or basketball better.

Joe Paterno looked really old yesterday. He also looked like he didn't now what was going on.

I hope they have a replacement handy.

Well, he is really old. Many HC are just figureheads anyway, the assistants do the work. The HC closes the big recruits and alumni $$$.

I'm not familiar with Indiana, but I do live near State College. It's pretty much a college town. Big on football, partying, tons and tons of school spirt. I've had to visit the campus for various activities and I've found it difficult to navigate. I'm not sure how it compares to other campuses, but I always get lost and I visit [semi] frequently.

I'm really not sure if this helps you. : )

definitely IU... much, much better b-school

lol I def. wouldnt say much better Business school.....Im assuming your a junior(atleast for your sake I hope so)
So Id say visit both and figure out which you like better, as both business programs are fairly good.

I would say Penn State is definately better overall academically and PSU's school spirit is hard to match.
With Penn State you will be getting a fairly large network of alumni

Also Are you from PA or IN?

I don't think the actual quality difference is that great. I'd choose more based on where I want to work after college. PSU for the east, IU for the midwest. No difference for the rest of the US.

Barrons, West PA is culturally Midwestern if you ask me. But that's just my Middle Eastern observation! hehe

I personally prefer Indiana (more beautiful campus and more happening town) to PSU, but both are excellent.

actually im a senior and i live in ohio but i cant go to ohio state (dad is Michigan allum)

PSU has excellent programs in Supply Management/Logistics and Hospitality Management if you are interested.

PSU is considered an "eastern school" by many in the NY/NJ/PA area which is pretty hardcore eastern area. I grew up there and PSU was considered a great relatively nearby place to go. This was before they joined the Big 10.
As far as the towns go I have only been to PSU once and it was many years ago and I have been to Bloomington a bunch. I had a favorable impression of SC/PSU at the time. I like Bloomington but I don't think it's much more than a small/medium sized college town. It's no AA or Madison.

Thoroughly investigate Penn State's policy that requires underclassmen to "apply" and be admitted to a specific major. I've read complaints that it can be an onerous and, at times, seemingly unfair (according to kids who don't get their first choice).
