how hard is it to get in if you're plotting against the party/big brother?

Arachnophobia: Room 101 for you!

I was told that it is better to apply to PSU earlier rather than later because they shift the acceptance line as time goes on. Apparently the initial screening is by test scores and grades on a grid. But after Nov 1 the grid shifts up. I heard they get something like 60,000 apps. Just a rumor at this point.

...this thread is turning into a 1984 joke thread. Ungood indeed.

I wonder if colleges get some kind of sadistic pleasure out of something like this.

^Hey, I'd think it was awesome if the kids talking about my college on a forum gleefully let it "devolve" into 1984 jokes. They beat the hell out of South Park jokes any day.

i was really asking my question.... but i guesss.. nobody wants to answer it.. hmmm lol

hikids- it's definitely better to get your application in early-- the decisions come out very quickly, and if you have good numbers you can count on a very quick reply. I missed the priority deadline by a few days and was notified just two weeks ago, as opposed to some friends who applied earlier and heard in less than a month. also, decisions tend to be less competitive at the beginning.
