Penn State :)

CHANCE ME PLEASE :)
Out of State

GPA: 3.4
SAT: 1690
ACT: 26
SAT II: 690

AP classes, many honors & extracurriculars, work experience, good essay.

2 college classes (6 credits)

I got into Penn State out-of-state. My GPA/test scores were a lot higher, but you say you have AP classes and a lot of extracurriculars, so that may put you over the edge. You’re welcome to check my stats to see how you match up. Hopefully it’ll give you an idea about your chances at Penn State.

Good luck!

Honestly, your SAT may be a little low. I would recommend maybe applying to one of the Penn State branch campuses, and if you get in, work your tail off and you may be able to transfer to UP.

Best of luck!

PSU U. Park is about a 3.55 GPA with 1800-1900’s on SAT.

I don’t think you are going to get in with a 1690 or 26, but there’s a chance.

It’s not really a “maybe” thing, just get a decent GPA and transfer is guaranteed BUT if you’re from out of state, you should not do this. All the satellite campuses are commuter schools and it won’t be fun going there from oos, just go to one of your state schools that you can get into. If you can get a good GPA (3.5+) you can transfer to PSU if you want, or somewhere else.

Well if you really have your heart set on Penn State, a satellite campus is a good bet. But mephist0 is right, it probably won’t be a fun time for you.
