Penn offers its undergraduates an eminent faculty and a wealth of research opportunities. (It is not our expectation that you contact faculty directly to answer this question.)Please answer in the space provided. [1000 character]

mind share how you have answered this question? =)

my answer to this was TERRIBLE. i wrote about a like fellowship prof or something? and about how he studied psychology that related to society and how i wanted to do communications, but did not want to give up my scientific background, so it would be cool to work with him so i could learn not just about how but why. idk it was bad.

Mine was pretty bad as well. The character limit was a real pain.

I just talked about the standing of the professor, what benefits there would be to studying under him, and most importantly (I believe) why this professor stood out to me.

My girlfriend goes there so I asked her to tell me about one of her professors and a specific experience in the class.

so you go on their website and it can link you to different departments

then on each department’s website they have their list of faculty

I clicked on a random professor and it led me to her web page where she had a bunch of essays posted and short descriptions of her recent research sh1t. I skimmed through some of it then summarized something she did and I said I wanted to do that [heheheh]

what I’m basically trying to say is that it was a mess. but my other essays were hawt so it turned out kk

My answer was terrible to this. I think it’s more of a weedout question (as in, people who don’t really want to go to Penn groan at the thought of another essay…especially one they can’t just copy and paste)
