Penn Transfer

i'm just one of those people who really don't do well on those test. I would take the sat II since they are redoing it but the new edition will not be used until march 15.

I tried prepping for the sat but i didn't go to well. On the act i think the biggest thing for me was the time constraint. I made a 32 in the nglish grammar section. 27 on the math section even though i left two row blank. I didn't even have time to bubble in the "c"'s. And my science and reading section on the act sucks.

Personally i don't think i would do any better. If i did it would only be 1 or 2 pts. Better time could be spent studying for the mcat or for school you know what i mean? :(

I guess i've just got to rock my essays and get really good recs.

yeah i agree. i got a 1340, and i'm not retaking. Sigh MCATs...junior year is so far away, yet so close...

i did so much worst on the sat. 1090. And yet so far.... my college education has had nothing to do with the vocab and tricky math questions the sat tested me on.

Once again, since college standards vary, the advice that has been forwarded to me is that the SAT is somewhat of an objective standard. It is often argued that the further one is in his college eduction, the less emphasis is placed on his high school record and the SAT, but both still count in the admissions process.

hnbui, if you are applying to a Top Tier school for transfer, I highly suggest that you retake the SAT.

hnbui, nspeds is right on. ull need to retake and add 200 points if you want to go to a top school, or retake the ACT, depending on which u think ull do better on. also, u might find the tests easier now, many people i know that have retaken them while in college have found them substantially easier (at least as it relates to the SAT).

Actually, to augment northram's post: hnbui, you will need much more than 200 points to stay competitive! The last SAT of the conventional format is on January 22nd, work your butt off for the verbal and math and you just might see a lot of improvement. Do the best you can and if you score below a 1300, there is no harm in including an appendix explaining your inability to take tests. Having a professor testify in your favor would not hurt either, but I do not know how such an explanation would work for you in the long run because you are taking a risk with a score below the 1300 mark.

hey everyone just to let u kno this kid is bannanaz i went to the UCLA mock trial institute with him and he is just plain wierd and stuck up. he talked about other people as if they were lower than him. Well to tell you guys know the true story about him he is 14 and he did not skip highschool (look at his previous posts). His parents bought him a diploma by supposedly setting him up a so called school in their home because the local one was not up to par, and then just graduated him themselves. He doesnt even know 86x 86.
