Penn v. NYU

… and worse in the vast majority of its remaining academic offerings. ■■■■

Oxymorons:

jumbo shrimp
good lawyer
NYU campus

haha… thanks for entertaining me for a good 10 minutes gugupo. fact of the matter is, 1) the original post is of the guy asking where to go cuz he likes artsy *. you transformed this to a random ass penn bashing cuz im assuming you love nyu… i do too. but face it, somewhere like stern… one of the top programs at nyu houses many wharton rejects. ill be one of them. nyu is great but frankly who gives a flying *. give it a rest and stop looking like a jealous obnoxious ass

joeleeblackbelt, gugupo doesn’t love NYU. It just hates Penn since it was denied there, and it’s been bashing Penn (no matter what school Penn is being compared to) ever since.

lmao… haha, what a pathetic kid

Talking about prestige…Penn is an Ivy. Overall undergrad rank #5 vs. 33. End of story.

Just out of curiosity, where did you decide to go?

Penn is better than NYU hands down.

Both are great schools. UPenn, however, is an Ivy League and is more “established”.
UPenn - #5
NYU - #33

Both schools contain advantages, though. NYU is considered to be stronger in the arts department than UPenn.

This ACTUALLY made my day lol… its true tho…
In response to the question, altho I have not been to college yet, the general opinion is [in the B-school area] Penn comes out on top unless the desired area is finance, in which case NYU is the way to go.

Another oxymoron:
NYU Financial aid

If you’re under financial pressure, steer clear of NYU, an infamous debtor school.

anyways… also keep in mind that (imo) altho lacking the campus feel, as ilovebagels said, Nyu has much more of a city feel, not to mention that it is right next to Wall St… internships galore.

k thanks

I’m not so sure about that… [Finance | Rankings | US News](http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/rankings/business-finance)

I agree with you on everything else though.

^ Wharton is preeminent in Finance, and has significantly better placement in that field (especially on Wall Street) than NYU.

Oh maybe it was just my impression then…
Anyways, the thing that you should take away from this is that both schools will give you one of the best biz educations in the country. So go with whichever you like better

To me, the pros of each:

Stern:
Easier to get into
City feel (more than upenn anyway - city and college separated by schuylkill river)

uPenn:
Probably cheaper (compared to almost no FA at nyu)
Campus feel (nyu really doesn’t have one)
